What Software Tools Does CGI.Backgrounds Support?

CGI.Backgrounds is a specialized stock-photography site for premium backgrounds, including HDRi Maps and Backplates.
One of the best things about our backgrounds is that they’re software-agnostic. You can download one of our HDRi environments or Backplates and use it in nearly any 3D rendering tool in your team’s workflow, both now and in the future.
Here are a few examples of software tools that support CGI.Backgrounds’ materials:
  • Maya
  • 3Ds Max
  • VRED
  • Keyshot
  • Blender
  • Unity
  • Unreal Engine
  • Corona Renderer
  • Octane Render
  • Cinema 4D
  • Rhino
  • Solidworks
  • Maxwell
  • Houdini
  • Deltagen
  • Nuke
Designer Alan Portilho has a great case study of rendering the Dodge Challenger using Autodesk 3Ds Max. You can read a bit about his process on our site, or click through to his blog to learn more of the technical specifics of working with that tool.
Our content also works especially well with the Unreal Engine. We are an Epic Games MegaGrant recipient, and many of our designers integrate our HDRi Maps and Backplates directly into the Unreal Engine for both visuals and lighting.
See a software tool that’s missing from our list? Each out via our contact page to let us know. We’re happy to check if the tool supports our content.
