The scenes allow adjustments to lighting intensity and color hue, offering flexibility in customization. However, they do not support time-of-day changes due to the limitations of these being pre-captured, photo-based environments rather than fully synthetic scenes.

They also excel in fully interactive real-time rendering projects, such as VR experiences, game development, and virtual product showcases, providing seamless integration and photorealistic quality in interactive environments.

Yes, you can request a custom 3D Scene! We’ve made the process simple with a “Request as a Scene” button on all our HDRi asset pages. Just log into your account, click the button, and our team will contact you via email to confirm details and discuss your project needs.

Basic scenes with minimal elements can often be delivered faster, while highly detailed scenes with multiple assets, advanced mapping, and specific customizations may take longer. During the initial discussion of your request, our team will provide an estimated timeline.

Blender 3D scenes include both, a .hdr and a tone-mapped version:

Tone-mapped 3D-Scenes: These provide a polished, ready-to-use look straight out of the box.
HDR 3D-Scenes : These offer greater flexibility, allowing users to fine-tune lighting and colors in a post-processing workflow, much like working with RAW image files.

VRED’s unique ability to project realistic HDRi Maps allows our 3D Scenes to be tailored for this feature. Scenes may include one or two project files:

Single-project scenes: These are VRED projections that have a Tonemapped and an HDR background in one file, and you can turn them on or off depending on your needs.
Dual-project scenes: Offer separate HDRi and tone-mapped versions for visible backgrounds. VRED 3D-Scenes that come in Tone-Mapped and HDR 3D-Scenes separately, needs the Render-Layer active to work properly as intended.

3ds Max 3D-Scenes come with two project files, one as Tone-mapped and one as HDR file:

1. Tone-mapped background: Provides a polished, ready-to-use option.

2. Full HDR dynamic range: Offers maximum flexibility for customisation and post-production capabilities. These HDR 3D-Scenes are fully compatible with the filmic tone-mapper in the VRAY renderer, giving excellent results.

Unreal Engine 5 scenes include a single project file containing multiple levels optimized for various workflows:

TM : Tone-mapped visible background.
HDR : HDRi visible background.
RT/Lumin : Real-time rendering (requires setting to lit mode).
PT : Path tracing (requires setting to path-tracing mode).
